dudes, i saw the preview for this while wait for the expendables to explode into my eyeballs. while i found it terrifying (the devil’s no joke and the exorcist is the scariest thing i’ve ever seen ever) it also seemed liked the devil was just a shitty chiropractor. do you think “person is bent weird” will be the new “person moves really fast for a split second” when it comes to scary movie commercials?

please just leave this one alone it would be like remaking the re-animator great movie but of course it looked chessy it was a low budget 80s movie i hate to disagree but leave raw head rex at peace or make a part 2 i mean he does come out of the grave at the very end sorry if i spoiled it for u but it has to be said

that movie was a TNT classic for years.

i just looked at fairuza’s imdb and apparently she has a movie in the works called thicker. it’s probably not what i think it’s going to be but it sounds hot.

i think the original worked because of the timely issues and conflicts of that particular time. i’m afraid movie goers of a certain persuasion will see it blindly, and completely miss the point.

Ha! Excellent! I dunno how psychomania manages to be so awful and so brilliant at the same time but it just does. The soundtrack is superb – i was lucky enough to get one of the very limited cd’s on trunk records (only 1000 made, i think)
And you’re right – after everyone comes back they all seem to have turned very mean-spirited. The bit where Jane rams the pram in the supermarket, that at the time must have looked as horrible as that awful bit in tainspotting where the girl gets glassed. But to stop snogging your girl in order to catch a frog….very strange…

Wonderful article. Julia and Barnabas have always been my favorite part of DS. It’s almost ridiculous that Barnabas couldn’t seem to recognize that the love he continually searched for was right there at his side in the guise of his dearest friend. It gives a whole new definition to the phrase “blind as a bat.” lol
